Abstract

The article presents reliability analysis of the electrical power supply system. All examples are from the in Baganuur coal mine in Mongolia. The data of failures were collected and investigated for the two years´ time period from 2008 to 2010. The failures of supply system at each shovel and draglines are analyzed. The unavailability and reliability of the subsystems and each power supply system to shovels and draglines are calculated. The loss in production, overburden removal and the revenue per year due to individual subsystems and the power supply system of shovels and draglines are also highlighted.
