Abstract
In this paper a hybrid intelligent algorithm combining particle swarm algorithm with natural selection mechanism is proposed and applied to the distributed generation planning. Based on the need of load and cost, a model for distributed generation planning is developed, in which the constraint condition is introduced by the penalty function. Experimental results show the feasibility and efficiency of the hybrid particle swarm algorithm and the performances of the proposed method and the basic particle swarm algorithm are compared in the example.
