Abstract :
This paper presents a NP (noun phrase) chunking model based on our previous work SBCB (Selecting Base Classifiers on Bagging) ensemble learning algorithm. The exploitation of an optimization procedure to pick up good classifiers in SBCB, along with a process to select proper syntactic or semantic features, contributes a better performance. The experimental comparisons with the state-of-the-art algorithms show that the proposed approach is able to achieve impressive higher accuracy in terms of F-score.
