The application of PCA in the basic public service system

Based on principal component analysis (PCA), this paper proposed a new method for studying the current situation of the basic public service in HeBei province. The authors evaluated the basic public service development level of the province by establishing a comprehensive evaluation index system. The system employed the combination of PCA and factor analysis. Numerical analysis was carried out using the quantized data based on the system. Analysis results showed that the level of the basic public services is below the national average level, especially in the medical services, health and basic education services.
