Abstract :
In this talk, we will present the design, fabrication, and characteristics of a PIC consisting of a high performance InAs/GaAs quantum dot (QD) ridge waveguide laser monolithically integrated with a single mode tapered silicon nitride waveguide. To provide a true single mode PIC, integration of the tapered waveguide with a QD cross laser is also demonstrated.
