Abstract :
State Estimation is the foundation of any management of electric power networks and thus forms a vital part of any Smart Grid reflecting the operational limitations of the primary infrastructure. Traditional Static-State Estimation algorithms are not suitable for under-determined networks, even is the under-determination is only partly. This is addressed by pre-analysis of the networks topology and measurement distribution. In this paper the authors present the approach and key features of a novel Static-State Estimation technique which is inherently able to cope with mixed levels of determination the supervised network.
