Abstract :
The paper explains and discusses the neologism Eco-Reliability from the three perspectives Ecology, Economy and Reliability or rather the interdependencies as a process of multi-criteria decisions. The focus is set on electronic appliances and their applications. Further on all phases of the lifetime from design to processing, use and end-of-life are taken into account. Because of this the potential recipients of the method are widespread from the designer and manufacturer to the user of the product; moreover policy makers and policy stakeholders should be able to integrate aspects of the upcoming results.
