Abstract :
In this paper, a maximum-power-point-tracking (MPPT) photovoltaic wide load-range zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) phase-shift full-bridge (PSFB) charger with DC-link current regulation is developed in order to obtain high-efficiency power conversion even at light load condition. According to the output characteristics of the solar cell module, the proposed MPPT photovoltaic converter can be implemented with available analog control ICs on the market. Besides, by regulating the DC-link current for the post-stage PSFB charger, the wide load-range ZVS condition of the employed power switches can be ensured. Finally, the prototype circuit of the proposed photovoltaic wide load-range ZVS PSFB charger is built to verify the power conversion efficiency and MPPT efficiency at wide load range.
