Abstract
Given the recently emerged importance and rapid growth of social and economical impacts of the digital game industry, it is crucial to carry out research work for being able to develop better games. Technology trees is a topic covered hardly at all in academic papers so far. This paper discusses measuring different features and properties contained in them. The long-term goal is to facilitate producing good technology trees by the means of measurement-based enhancing and balancing algorithms.
