Abstract
“Designer drugs” have been synthesized since the early 1980s. Amphetamines, generally referred to as phenylethylamines, are the class of compounds with the largest number of individual substances on the illicit drug market. We are presenting an easy-to-use ICT application providing a fast and reliable screening of amphetamines and of their main precursors (representing also drugs-of abuse). The application may also be used for portable infrared detection instruments used by law enforcement officers and analytical toxicologists.
