Abstract :
The impact of an element with a massive surface is presented. The impact angle of the free rigid body is varied and the kinetic coefficient of restitution is calculated. The impact force is a nonlinear function of elasto-plastic displacement. A permanent deformation of the material for the restitution phase is considered. The equations of motion developed are important for the control strategy of the impact.
