Abstract :
A new form of Proportional Navigation Guidance (PNG) law for tactical missiles based on generalized nonlinear predictive control approach is proposed. A cost function with built-in integral action as well as optional control order has been introduced to improve the prediction performance. The flight-control system dynamics is also involved in formulation derivation. The performance of the new guidance law is demonstrated by simulation. The results show that the proposed guidance law is very effective against a highly maneuvering target.
