Abstract :
Algorithms for numerically testing the properness of (singular) descriptor systems are discussed. Related implementation issues for improving the computational efficiency are addressed. Numerical results obtained for a large collection of descriptor systems are compared to those delivered by state-of-the-art MATLAB tools.
