Abstract
The purpose of this paper is the implementation of a model for the electromagnetic transients simulation in naval distribution systems. In particular, the study is focused on the determination of the voltage and current harmonic distortion (THD) on the LV busbars caused by many frequency converters employed as motor drives. The harmonics generated by the frequency converters connected to the various GSPs along the ship and the harmonic distortion incoming from the propulsion converters supplied by the MV network have been analyzed.
