  • Abstract
DNA detection has become a standard tool in medicine and forensic. The steps for the DNA extraction, multiplication and detection are well known but costly and time consuming. The integration of the needed steps in modules called DNA chips is a research area in microfluidics. In this paper a PCB (printed circuit board) based approach is presented. In one multi layer PCB containing fluidic and electronic functions the multiplication and the detection can take place. The here presented DNA detection chip is completely build using standard multi layer PCB technology and is ideal for mass production.
