  • Abstract
With the increase of the availability of electric vehicles (ev) and charging stations within the agglomeration areas new challenges emerge for grid operators. But in addition to that grid operators are able to reach a benefit due to the rising amount of decentralised energy storages. Each ev connected to the grid could be used as energy storage system for the grid. This is evaluated not only for a small amount of electric vehicles but according to a future orientated evaluation for a whole town and its energy use. On the one hand the integration of a large number of ev´s could mean an extra need of new power plants by inconvenient demand for charging. But this has to be and can be avoided by centralized controlled charging. On the other hand the users demands has to be fulfilled as much as possible, which is evaluated within this paper.
