Abstract
The interleaved buck cell is the reconstructing of the conventional phase-leg. The two power cells have the inherent consistency in the area of circuit functions. But the interleaved buck cell has the following advantages which the conventional phase-leg does not have: no “shoot-through” phenomenon, low power loss, high reliability and so on. However, the reasonable control is the key to bring advantages above into play. Based on the application of active filtering, the control strategy of the interleaved buck cell is deeply studied in this paper and an optimal control strategy is found. Finally, the simulation and experiment are done with the platform of the interleaved buck cell based active power filter (IB-APF). The results verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed control strategy. This control strategy can be employed or learned by the active power filter using the basic interleaved buck cell or the extended interleaved buck cell as its power units.
