Abstract :
By analyzing some statistical features of real Short Message Networks (SMNs), a Weighted Evolutionary Model (WEM) is proposed in this paper, based on which the rumor spreading behavior is studied as well. An improved rumor spreading model is then introduced, which takes the weight as a key factor of approving probability. Moreover, by changing weight dispersion and parameters of network structure, we focus on studying impact of weight distribution and cluster coefficient on rumor spreading. Simulation results show that, a network with larger weight dispersion results in a good resistance to rumor spreading, while greater cluster coefficient is conducive to rumor spreading.
