Abstract :
This paper studies the stability analysis and stabilization problems for networked control systems (NCSs)with packet dropout, where the main focus is the time-varying sampling periods issue. The number of data packet dropout is assumed to have both an upper bound and a lower bound. The NCSs with time-varying sampling periods are equivalent to a class of discrete time systems with parametrical uncertainties by mathematical transformation and matrix theory. Sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of the underlying systems are derived via the linear matrix inequality (LMI) formulation, and the design of the stabilizing controller is further given. A numerical example is used to illustrate the developed theory.
