  • Abstract
In this paper, a matrix approach is proposed for asynchronous sequential machines, and then the model matching problem is studied with the proposed approach. Under the matrix form, an asynchronous machine and a closed-loop system composed of two machines are analyzed with the help of semi-tensor product of matrices. By the calculation of the structure matrices of the machines, a new control design is given for the model matching of input/state asynchronous machines, where the constructed controller has a relatively small number of states.
