Abstract :
In this paper, a simulation system with printhead´s distortion model is developed for 3D printing based on 3D printing robot. The simulation system based on DirectX SDK is modular designed which is consist of pre-process module, virtual running module, simulation platform module and user interface module. Virtual running is taken on the simulation platform using the 3D printing data which was pre-processed by the simulation system. According to the contrast between simulation and the real results, printhead´s distortion model is verified and improved. Finally, an improved 3D printing strategy is proposed by simulation system and verified in real 3D printing.
