Abstract :
This paper introduces a distributed mechanism for wireless channel allocation in smart grids. In wireless communication system for smart grid, we have to consider two factors: the unavoidable external interference and the numerous terminals in the network. By defining a priority for each wireless device, the wireless channels are allocated for each terminal interrupted by accident in a distributed way. Since terminals gain the priority with its localized information, this allocation scheme is scalable for deployment in large networks. Moreover, the performance of our allocation scheme is demonstrated by the numerical simulations.
