Abstract
An electric heat-tracing control system which will be applied to the oil pipeline is researched in this paper. The system has the function of system configuration, heating-circuit control and online monitoring. It is made up of controller station, controller net and RTU module. When it works in the real-time, the system not only can monitor the temperature, current and the status of breaker, but also can configure and control every electric heating-circuit. A well functioned trouble detecting and alert solution is also applied to the system. RS485 Bus and Ethernet LANs have been used to connect all the different levels within the system. The results of experiments show that the electric heat-tracing control system has realized the management and control of the heat-tracing in a specific region through network, information technology and integration. As well, it has good performance both in reliability of system monitoring and effectiveness of heating-circuit control.
