  • Abstract
    Vehicular ad hoc network is a kink of open wireless network. Due to this kind opening, it may face many serious security and privacy challenges. Recently, Kim et al proposed an efficient anonymous authentication protocol with tracing to enhance efficiency of anonymous authentication protocol. Unfortunately, in this paper, we show the protocol is insecure by analyzing the security of the scheme, it cannot achieve tracing function for dishonest vehicle. To overcome these flaws, an improved anonymous authentication protocol with trace ability is proposed and show the improved protocol can efficiently achieve tracing of dishonest vehicle.
