Abstract :
In-body wireless communication system has been developed rapidly in recently, because it has some advantages of digital data telemetry via mobile phone network, unattended data transfer, instant access to relevant medical records, tracking the location of the patients implanted with critical devices and etc. Moreover, such system is also suggested to be used for reducing medical error and improving the quality of patient´s lives in hospitals. As we know, the human body is including 51 tissues and organs as a complex material, several issues should be considered: the transmission between the human body and external device, the attenuation of the antenna performance due to the loss and miniaturization, increasing antenna performance and etc., for instance. Nowadays, some papers are published in conference and journal. The implantable antenna design that is with the human-equivalent phantom is presented. The superstrate with high electric constant are usually used for miniaturization. The RF transmission of the antenna in in-body wireless communication also be presented.
