Abstract :
How to get more realistic model is important for a virtual arthroscopic knee surgery training system. A method of 3-D reconstruction from the CT images of knee is given. This method selects appropriate threshold for segmentation, according to the histogram of the CT image sequence. Then further processes the images with region growing segmentation. Finally, we get the accurate models. We have reconstructed femur, tibia and patella etc. It proves the method is feasible.
