Abstract :
Theoretical and experimental investigations of a modulated REB (2 MeV, 1 A, 2 μs) interaction with a neutral gas of pressure 1-700 Torr are presented. Effective beam-plasma interaction is observed when the plasma frequency is equal to the beam modulation frequency. The wake-field value in the plasma-dielectric structure excited by the electron beam propagating in the plasma channel is also calculated.
