Abstract
The coefficients of ion beam energy conversion into the plasma radiation, formed under the direct action of the ion beam onto the thermonuclear target, are calculated. It is shown that a possible increase in the hydrodynamic efficiency of the target acceleration due to a more complicated target structure with a heavy layer (a so called tamper limiting the motion outside) is almost compensated by radiative losses in high-Z-material.
