Abstract :
The design and performance of an electron beam accelerator generating a hollow electron beam using a plasma cathode are presented. A ring plasma surface is produced by a superdense glow discharge, excited in the E×B field. The accelerator characteristics are presented and the peculiarities of the plasma cathode application for the electron beam generation are analysed.
