Abstract
The main goal of fiber pinches of producing both high pinch plasma density and high temperature (In order to suppress both pinch disruptions and micropinches) is only to be achieved with confinement at small radial pinch dimension. This needs fast solid to plasma state transformation in keeping sub-millimeter radial extension. Therefore, further fiber experiments need careful plasma preparation (initial conductivity) for Improved initial driver-load coupling as well as reduced discharge expansion for better confinement.
