Abstract :
In this paper, a systematic procedure to synthesize a cascaded connection of dc-dc converters is introduced. It lies on the interconnection of boost-based dc-transformers operating in sliding-mode. This procedure is applied to design the cascaded connection of two boost converters with output filter (BOF) acting as a dc-transformer and the stability conditions are given in this particular case. The theoretical results have been verified by means of PSIM simulations.
