Abstract
This paper presents contingency redefinition in power system security analysis. The proposed approach employs particle swarm optimization algorithm for optimal settings of the control variables of the optimal power flow problem. The proposed approach has been examined on the standard IEEE 30-bus test system. The results of the proposed method application on the test system show that using coordinated voltage control, lead to better elimination of voltage violations in power system.
