Abstract
Summary form only given. The Great East Japan Earthquake reminded us of the significance to secure communication network under disasters. Wireless technologies would play a most significant role in the devastating disasters such as one by Tsunami. We need to have rapidly deployable communication network in addition to, or alternative to, damaged or congested cellular networks. Studies to establish the disaster-tolerant private wireless access network are undergoing. We present the architecture of dependable wireless network characterized by decentralized mesh topology and relay system using unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
