Abstract :
Coding for non-binary source with side information at the decoder is studied with an emphasis on ternary alphabet. The underlying linear code is the concatenated codes with short block outer codes and a rate-1 inner encoder over the ternary field. It is shown that the proposed scheme outperforms the results reported so far.
