Abstract
Over the past three decades the current source converters (CSCs) and voltage source converters (VSCs) have been investigated and found successful industrial applications. This paper provides a short review of space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) techniques used for these converters, including their principles and implementations. A comparative study of the techniques is given. Also, some simulation results are presented. The paper is useful for academic and research purposes in the field of power electronics and electrical drives.
