Abstract :
The magnitude of the thrust and the thrust ripple in a LRM are compared with a PMLSM. The stack height, the mover length and the cross section area of the conductor are adjusted to obtain the same magnitude of the thrust of a PMLSM. The different combinations of the number of pole and the number of slot are discussed. As an example, an 8-pole 9-slot model and a 4-pole 6-slot model are estimated in the thrust and the thrust ripple.
