  • Abstract
    This paper presents static characteristics of a double-sided linear switched reluctance motor with high-temperature superconducting excitation winding. The characteristics of the new type linear switched reluctance motor are obtained by using finite element method. We also manufacture a prototype for static measurements and measure the static characteristics. The basic characteristics of the new type linear switched reluctance motor are clarified by performing experiments and finite element method analysis. Moreover, a driving system for the new type linear switched reluctance motor is presented.
