Abstract :
In some of rotating machines such as hydrogenerators, through bolts may be used to fix the laminated iron core. In such bolts which are incorporated in the alternating field, eddy currents may be induced and this can lead to loss increase and overheating. In this paper, eddy current analyses of stator core through bolt are performed and some investigation on 3D effect and magnetic saturation are presented.
