Abstract :
A dual-output LLC resonant converter for a high power LED lamp is proposed in this paper. One of dual output nodes is for the LED lighting and a closed-loop control strategy is applied. The other is used for charging a battery using one auxiliary switch and pulse width modulation IC. The proposed converter circuit is used a half-bridge-type LLC resonant converter and designed for obtaining soft-switching on two power switches to reduce their switching loss. A prototype power supply is developed to supply 350 W high-power LEDs with a 220 V utility-line input voltage. Simulation results by PSIM will be showed the practicality and validity of the proposed circuit.
