Abstract :
In order to realize the precise control and outstanding steady-state performance of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) used in electric vehicles, the accurate determination of the IPMSM parameters such as d- and q-axes inductances are needed. In this paper, the parameters of d- and q-axes inductances of a 30kW IPMSM is analyzed by electromagnetic field method, meanwhile, the d- and q-axes inductances was measured by the experimental method; finally, the comparison and analysis of the two different methods have been made, and a detailed finite element analysis of a 30kW IPMSM prototype has also been used in this paper to verify some of the discrepancies and limitations of the two methods.
