Abstract :
This paper reports on implementation of procedures necessary to carry out evaluation of digital educational products (DEPs) in bigger scale respectively within e-learning awards (ELAs). In aspects of gathering/identifying, categorizing/ classifying and eventually evaluating DEPs the paper compares some of most popular ELAs and in the end focuses on Comenius EduMedia Awards and their features that are of additional value for the market (i.e. publically accessible database of evaluated DEPs with evaluation results and publically accessible evaluation criteria that serve producers as development guidelines).
