  • Abstract
    Intercultural competence development is a crucial issue in current engineering education trends. Research shows that integrative approaches improve students´ interest in intercultural communication, and learning experiences prepare students for the global economy of the 21st century [1]. Most of the fastest growing occupations require significant training in intercultural communication skills. Thus, an integrative approach to intercultural competence development in engineering education is proposed. It comprises interdisciplinary collaboration, faculty development and international cooperation.
