Abstract :
By using an accurate ray-tracing model for field prediction, it is possible to characterize the propagation channel in a complex area. This study deals with the prediction´s efficiency and sets of efficient input parameters for the proposed model. Statistics about resultant number of reflections and reflection coefficient which affect the received rays are also evaluated. Angle of arrival (AOA) of emitted rays are fully analysed for the future antenna design suitable for communication in the gallery. This study is done for a line on sight situation in a narrow mine gallery. The efficiency of our model is shown using three indices namely mean error, standard deviation error or root means square error.
