Abstract :
We present a class of transient relatively undistorted solutions of the 3D wave equation, generalizing the Bateman-Hillion solutions. Under a special choice of waveforms, the solutions under consideration can describe strongly localized wave beams and wave packets. Tilted waveobjects and higher modes are discussed.
