Abstract :
This paper presents a factor reliability and validity study on an attitude scale. After expert content validation, an attitude scale regarding the use of ICT in teaching was applied to a representative sample of teachers at the University of Salamanca (N=2329; n=161). Individual analysis of items was made based on the results obtained. Then a reliability test (Cronbach´s alpha) was carried out to show the internal consistency of the survey. Finally, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was applied to prove its structural soundness and unifactoriality. The final result is a Likert-type scale made up of 15 items. In conclusion, this paper aims to provide the scientific community with a tool of adequate psychometric properties which gives added pedagogical value to the introduction of ICT in university teaching.
