Abstract :
This paper presents a RFID based maintenance management system for ground coils of superconducting maglev. The purposes of this study are development of the management of maintenance data, the search of a maintenance target, and the condition monitoring. Passive RFID tags of HF band were fixed on each ground coil surface and the data were collected by readers installed on the maintenance vehicle. The running tests were conducted on Miyazaki Maglev Test Line. Two RFID readers with antennas installed on both sides of the test bogie, collected 8 byte ground coil identifier and 8 byte maintenance data at a running speed of 59 km/h. In order to monitor the ground coil temperature from the maintenance vehicle, passive sensor tags were tested on the rotation test bench. We confirmed that the reader/writer perfectly sent the threshold temperature to the sensor tags and received the results of comparison between a thermistor and the threshold temperature from the sensor tags at a peripheral speed of 10km/h.
