Theory of inertial confinement fusion by use of deuterium ion beam impinging on tritium target

In this paper, we point out that the direct fusion reactions between D beam ions and T ions in the target have a possibility to supply the enough energy to a fusion power reactor. We are now requested to develop a technique which extracts the intense ion beam and concentrates the beam on a small target.
