Abstract
As there are demands for OFDM transmission at 60GHz band, researchers need to deal with the problem of frequency offset and phase noise, especially at the high frequency band. This paper builds a theoretical framework for analyzing the Inter-Carrier-Interference (ICI) incurred due to phase noise and frequency offset of in OFDM transmission system. Based on the model, ICI dependent error floors of several conventional methods for reducing ICI can be analytically derived. This analysis facilitates engineers in designing OFDM transmission at millimeter wave bands.
