Abstract :
This paper presents a fast seek servo system with a resonance filter to improve time response, which we desire for a faster track access. Resonance always limit our desire to attain a faster target track seek. Although no explicit relationship is clearly known, the out-of-phase resonances tend to cause nonminimum phases in the plant. It is well known that compensation for the effect of such nonminimum phase resonance is extremely difficult. Thus we are interested in such troublesome resonances that make plants become nonminimum-phase.
