  • Abstract
This paper presents a study on the effectiveness of currently used change detection methods in floater pollutant detection for flowing waters. Experiments with a large database, including comparisons with manual segmentation show that currently used background subtraction methods, like GMM, produce results which correlate well with human assessment.
